Latency Metrics Explained

Average (Mean)

The sum of all latencies divided by the number of requests. Can be skewed by outliers.

Median (P50)

The middle value when all latencies are sorted. Better represents "typical" performance than average.

P95 (95th Percentile)

95% of requests are faster than this value. Used in SLAs to measure worst-case performance.

Min/Max

The fastest and slowest response times. Helps identify performance variance.
